Join Kākou Club for a special evening under the stars! We'll be gathering at Kahala Beach Park to talk story, share food, and explore the night sky with the help of a professional astronomer from Stargazers of Hawaiʻi.

Here’s what you can look forward to:
Talk story with community and share a potluck!
Telescope Viewing: Look through a large telescope and see the Moon, planets, and stars close up — up to 600x magnification!
Hawaiian Wayfinding Stories: Learn how ancient Hawaiians and Polynesians used the stars to travel across the ocean.
Constellations Tour: A local astronomer will use a laser pointer to show you the constellations in the sky.
Take Photos: Get help taking photos of the Moon with your smartphone!
What to Bring:
A dish to share - it's potluck / picnic style
A blanket or chair to sit on
A sweatshirt or layers - it may get chilly
