Empowering the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, through person-centered programs rooted in local culture and community
Kākou is a Hawaiian word meaning “we”. It signifies equality and inclusivity, and promotes working together for the greater good.
New to O’ahu is Kākou Club, a program for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Our programs are designed to empower members through creative activities, volunteer work, recreation, and life skill lessons.
It is a place to have fun, create, learn, and grow while connecting to Hawai’i and the community!

Kākou Club is geared toward teens and adults, with intellectual or developmental disabilities. All are welcome and membership is currently free.
Currently, Kākou Club hosts monthly events in the community that align with our 4 key values. All are welcome to attend.
We are working toward creating a space where “members” can come weekly for regular support, comradery & fun.
